shower.rsvp is a free service that helps people host showers and events. This notice explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it.

Who we are

shower.rsvp is operated by its owner, [legal name and address to be added after attorney review]. Contact: [contact address to be added before launch].

What we collect

From hosts (the person who creates a page):

• Their name, the honoree's name, the type of shower, date, time, place, and details they add.
• The meal options they choose.
• For custom links: payment is handled by Stripe. We receive a payment confirmation and do not store card numbers.
• The guest list they enter, including names, emails, and mobile numbers, and any gifts and thank-you status they log.

From guests (people who reply to a page):

• Their name, reply, party size, meal choice, and any note they leave.
• Optional email and mobile number.
• A mailing address, only if they tick the consent box. Without consent, we do not keep the address.

Technical: we do not store IP addresses for our own records. We do not use advertising pixels or third-party trackers. We set one cookie, and only during custom-link checkout, to connect the payment to the right page. It expires within an hour.

How we use it

• To show the host their guest list, counts, meal totals, and thank-you list.
• To show the host's event page to people who open its link.
• To run custom links and confirm payment.

Guests' information belongs to the host's event. The host can see it. Guests cannot see one another's contact details.

Who sees it

• The host, through their host link.
• Our operator, only to run and fix the service.
• Stripe, only for custom-link payments.

What we do not do

• We do not sell personal information.
• We do not use guest information for advertising.
• We do not send invitations or reminders for hosts. Hosts send them from their own email or phone.

How long we keep it

Event information is kept until the host deletes the event or asks us to delete it. Unpaid custom-link claims are removed after 24 hours. Contact us to have information deleted.

Your choices

• Guests may leave the email, mobile, and address fields empty.
• Guests may ask the host to remove them, or contact us.
• Hosts can remove any guest, and can delete their event.
• Anyone can ask us what we hold about them and ask us to delete it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Host links are secret: anyone with the host link can manage that event. Do not post it publicly.

Children

shower.rsvp is for adults planning events. Guests may be any age, but we do not ask anyone under 18 for personal information.

Changes

If we change this notice, we will update the date above.
